Beads of sweat are starting to trickle down from his gelled-up hair unto the side of his temples, and quietly dripping onto the table. Jim had only been waiting for his first blind date ever for only fifteen minutes and he can already feel the jitters choking his entire nervous system. His left leg is getting a muscle spasm, shaking uncontrollably while his underarms are slowly pooling a damp of sweat underneath his thick suede jacket.

Oh dear! Is this going to be one of those days where Jim had to be embarrassed with his excessive sweating problem again? Is this going to be another day where Jim had to be drenched in sweat while smelling worse than a dead skunk?

Jim had never been able to identify the cause of his excessive sweating. On some days, it could be the unforgiving weather. On other bad days, it could be due to his nervous disposition and sudden panic attacks. For someone who has been battling with excessive sweating for almost a good period of his adolescent life, Jim has never been able to control his excessive sweating problems effectively.

There was once when he asked his parents if the cause of excessive sweating was due to any genetic traits. Jim was hoping that was the case as it would be much easier to cure his excessive sweating issues with the help of a family member. However, none of his family members had similar problems before. Of course sweating excessively during vigorous exercises was normal but not so during periods of inactivity.

Jim went to see his family doctor to see if there was any medical condition that could be the cause of excessive sweating. Fortunately, hiperhidrosis which is a condition that produces sweat glands excessively was ruled out for him.

Of course, the doctor gave him some options for him to cure his excessive sweating state. Some of the treatment for excessive sweating that was recommended was of course to use the popular brands of antiperspirant in the market. However, he was also duly informed that antiperspirant only helps to prevent the sweat glands from functioning. In the long run, Jim had to find a natural solution to control his excessive sweating concerns.

The doctor also suggested surgical methods to deal with Jim’s excessive sweating problem for good. Any surgery involving a patient suffering from excessive sweating is operated to inhibit the sweat glands from functioning completely. However, unless his sweating problems have been tormenting his social life, this treatment for excessive sweating is a radical step to go through.

In the meantime, the doctor had asked Jim to look out for any natural treatment first before attempting the costly ones like a Botox treatment or anything close to that.

Well, finally after thirty minutes of waiting in full anticipation, his first ever blind date finally showed up. She was tall, confident and had a cheerful outlook. After a quick apology for coming late for the date, she offered a handshake. This is the part where Jim had to discreetly wipe his sweaty palms with the table cloth to avoid a wet shake.

However, Jim’s hands were so wet that he could be banned from throwing a live grenade if he was ever in the military. Jim’s sweating state did not go unnoticed from the observing eyes of Jean. And she said, “Oh Jim, why are you so nervous? Calm down, I’m not Angelina Jolie…”

As they sat down to consume their pre-ordered meals, Jean was quick to pacify him that it was alright to be in the condition he was in. Jean went on further to reveal that she had a cousin once who was also suffering from excessive sweating. Suddenly, sparks began to fly and Jim kept his interest close to his heart.

As they continued into their conversation, Jean told him that her cousin has been able to control her excessive sweating gradually. She even wrote him a website on the serviette where both of them had came across which had tons of free information on the natural treatment for excessive sweating. In fact, one of which was using a product so commonly found in most kitchens.

As one can probably guess, the first thing that Jim did once he got back from the wonderful dinner with Jean was to check out the website that was recommended. He found a couple of good resources on excessive sweating which he will start to implement immediately.

He also found a few e-books written specifically to help deal with excessive sweating in the most natural ways possible. Jim was very positive that his excessive sweating can be cured once and for all. And he had his first ever blind date to thank for!

Will there ever be a second date after all? Well I am quite sure of the outcome…

—————————————————————————————

Excessive underarm sweating is a health condition that affects about 3% of the population. Most people who suffer from excessive underarm sweating also face the consequential problem of having a bad body odor.

Embarrassment from having sweat stains all over your clothing coupled with a bad body odor certainly will make a person suffering from excessive underarm sweating drained with low self confidence.

There are of course various ways to deal with excessive underarm sweating or excessive sweating in general. Some people will instantly shoot off to the nearest convenience stores looking for commercial deodorants and antiperspirants. There are also others who might want to use more natural and holistic treatment like homeopathy and herbs.

For those who have been suffering from a persistent excessive underarm sweating problem, they might consider going for cosmetic surgeries like Botox treatment to help stop sweating for good.

Although such surgical treatment might be a bit too extreme in most cases, you might want to start off by identifying certain habitual actions that can trigger your excessive underarm sweating problems.

These are a few questions that you can ask yourself and refine certain routines in your lifestyle so that you can adapt to your excessive underarm sweating worries.

Are you wearing dark-colored clothing?

As most of us have learnt back from our science classes, black absorbs and attracts heat. Dark colored clothing will definitely attract more body heat that will trigger your body to release more sweat.

Try to wear light colored clothing for a change to repel heat. Colors like beige, peach, cream and pink are refreshing and are also in fashion. More often than not, your excess underarm sweating can occur due to the color of your clothing.

Are you drinking enough water throughout the day?

By definition of water here, we mean plain water. Not coffee or even alcoholic beverages. Water helps to cool our body down and by understanding that sweating is our natural cooling function, the hotter our body is the sweatier we will get.

Drink at least seven glasses water everyday. Or better still, drink beyond the point of thirst. Plain water is also a good way to detoxify our body and helps to control your excessive underarm sweating problem per se.

Are you always in stress?

Stress is also one the common causes of excessive underarm sweating. Most people who are in a high-stress level environment will find themselves sweating most of the time.

Take time to de-stress yourself. Go for a spa retreat. Indulge in bubble baths and turn on soothing music. Play golf. Take up yoga lessons. Do whatever that is necessary to take your mind off the stress environment.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

One who suffers from excessive sweating is aware that sweating may not be targeted to the armpit area alone. The list can be long and includes other places on your body such as the genital area, the toes of your feet, palms, forehead and the even the face area.

However, excessive armpit sweating is the most common form of sweating and the one which most of us tend to be largely concern with.

Most people who sweat excessively usually experience armpit sweating alone. That is why we are constantly bombarded with advertisements and commercials from the deodorant and antiperspirant companies with their array of products.

There are some people who would readily go for these products which are available easily in supermarkets and convenience stores. There are also others who prefer the natural remedies to deal with their excessive armpit sweating rather than applying the chemical laden products on their skin.

For those of you who prefer to use the natural way to control your excessive sweating, there are a number of ways to do so. One such treatment to help lessen your excessive armpit sweating is to use baking soda.

Yes, baking soda can be one of the natural deodorants of your choice. It is cheap, easy to get and at the same time just as effective. Although it will not stop your excessive armpit sweating completely, baking soda can neutralize any odor and kill odor producing bacteria on your body, especially on the armpit area.

There are also natural deodorants that contain baking soda, but be careful to see if these deodorants also contain other substances that may bad for you.

If you prefer to use baking soda the natural way, then all you have to do is dust a thin layer of it on the armpit area. Make sure the offending area is dried completely before applying the baking soda.

Another variation of this technique is to use cornstarch. You may feel awkward dusting yourself with cornstarch or baking soda at first, but these cheap treatments can definitely help to alleviate your excessive armpit sweating problems.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

People sweat everyday. It is a natural body function that allows us to cool down and excrete waste matter. However, there are also a lot others that sweat excessively due to many causes and reasons. Excessive sweating will then become a problem rather than a utility for our body.

Knowing the causes of excessive sweating and the potential sweat symptoms may help people who suffer from excessive sweating to control their perspiration naturally. There are also other ways to deal with excessive sweating through the use of antiperspirants and botox surgery.

However, it is most advisable to identify the causes of excessive sweating first before going to the extreme lengths.

Here are the ten most common causes of excessive sweating:

Extreme Hot Weather Conditions
Hereditary or Genetic Trait
Medical Conditions like Hiperhidrosis or Hyperthyroidism
Extensive Exercises or Manual Labor
High Stress Level
Reaction to Certain Type of Medication
Reaction to Food (Especially Hot/Spicy Foods)
The Onset of Puberty
Menopause
Obesity

There are also other causes of excessive sweating which may include emotional causes like embarrassment, panic attacks, anxiety and nervous dispositions. It is important to know these causes of excessive sweating so that you can mentally prepare yourself to face such situations. Regular de-stressing techniques may help to alleviate your stress level.

Identifying the causes of excessive sweating will help you to control your sweating problems naturally. If it is due to a genetic trait, try asking a family member who has had to deal with such situations. More often than not, treating your excessive sweating problem can be as easy as performing a daily hygiene routine.

There are also other ways to keep your excessive sweating problems in check. Look out for forums and websites on the internet where people of similar troubles share their remedies and treatment.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Truth be told, there are many people who sweat excessively from places other than their underarms alone. In fact people who suffer from excessive sweats, otherwise known as hiperhidrosis, experience excessive sweating on their hands, face, feet, on their back and even in their genital area.

Any and all of these places are likely to be embarrassing for the person who suffers from excessive sweating of these areas. For a person who has facial or even head sweating of course, it becomes even more difficult to conceal the fact, or even to deal with it. Why is this especially so for facial and head sweating?

For the simple reason that any other type of sweating can be more easily disguised, whereas head sweating (as in beads of sweat running down the face), is not so easy to cover up. And even if the sweat doesn’t roll off your face, your hair can become damp and begin to smell of stale sweat. And that really is a problem for many people, because nobody likes to have a sweaty and a smelly head.

Ultimately it’s not only uncomfortable and lead to itching of the scalp, but it can in some very cases lead to unhealthy hair. Although one of the best ways to deal with a head sweating problem is to bathe regularly, using shampoos and such, this can also become a cause of the excessive sweating.

For example, unless you have very short hair, it can become disadvantageous to your efforts to control your head sweating to have a head of damp and dripping hair. This can and will promote more sweat to form, in which case all the trouble you went to, will become futile.

And if you’re using a hairdryer to take care of your moistened hair, you then have the problem of making your scalp too hot at which point it begins to sweat to help you cool off.

Of course, there are things that you can do to help you deal with; if not outright prevent head sweating. The most drastic of these measures should be consulted with, with your doctor. For other things as well, such as herbal treatments and remedies you might want to consult with your doctor as they will have a better understanding of your present state of health.

However when all is said and done, excessive head sweating can be controlled. You just need a little time and perseverance, to find the treatment that works best for you. You might also want to stay away from wearing any headgear such as hats and caps!
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

My grandmother has her own ways of dealing with daily medical conditions and illnesses. Although at times these home-made remedies can be seem backward compared to modern science and medicine, these treatments work wonders for her grandchildren.

Allow me to share with you a particular treatment for excessive sweating which she used on us when we were much younger. It involves using black tea as the main substance to help us eliminate sweat odor and reduce our excessive sweating.

There was one period of time when my brother was complaining about having heat rash due to his excessive sweating problems. My grandmother then would make him bathed the affected areas with strongly brewed black tea everyday. Of course, you would not want to put sugar into the brew.

She also made my brother soak his sweaty palms in a bowl of strongly brewed, cooled, black tea for about two to four minutes. Being the mischievous one, he would soak it for more than ten minutes, and came out grinning with brown hands!

After a few days, my brother’s heat rash slowly disappeared and all was back to normal.

My smelly feet were not spared either. She would insist that I soak my feet into a pail of lukewarm black tea for about 20 minutes. The smelly feet odor was greatly reduced after a few days. Of course, washing the socks was another different approach altogether.

Besides using black tea as a natural treatment for excessive sweating, she also made us drink hot brewing black tea for its health benefits. In fact drinking black tea can help reverse the abnormal functioning of the blood vessels that can contribute to stroke or heart attack. Studies done at Boston’s School of Medicine also showed that there was improvement in the functioning of the blood vessels within two hours of drinking just one cup of black tea.

Black tea is also a good treatment for excessive sweating problems as it helps to bring our stress hormone levels back to normal. According to a study done at University College of London, drinking black tea may speed up our recovery from the daily stresses in life. This may help us to reduce anxiety and indirectly help to overcome our excessive sweating problems.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Have you ever waked up in the thick of the night all drenched and wondering if you had just ran a marathon in your dreams? Only, you would find that you were all wet just by sleeping through on your comfy bed.

In most cases it is nothing more than an overactive system, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. Night sweating, especially excessive night sweating could be a symptom for a medical condition of which you are unaware.

Cause of Excessive Night Sweating
Of course, some people experience bouts of night sweating if they have eaten hot or spicy foods before coming to bed. And the best thing that can be done in these circumstances is to avoid such foods that you know will trigger an attack of excessive night sweating.

Some people on the other hand, experience excessive night sweating as part of their normal biological functions. It is also common for these people to have only sporadic bouts of night sweating that can even be triggered by a number of factors other than that of food.

These include factors such as extreme stress, anxiety, and even the prevailing weather conditions. Some people will experience excessive night sweating even in the coldest of winter. But then again, that is not as strange as most people will have not only the heating turned on, but also thick blankets covering them to ward off the chill!

As you can see, especially in a person prone to night sweating, these factors can all lead to that person sweating excessively in the night. This does not however, mean that night sweating is experienced by a vast majority of people. Indeed, relatively speaking, the number of people who suffer from excessive night sweating is rather low.

Treatment for Excessive Night Sweating
If you suffer from night sweating, you might want to consult with your physician to see what kinds of treatment are available for your excessive night sweating. No one wants to contend with sweaty sheets and nightclothes, day after day, or rather night after night!

You can also try using antiperspirants in the night time to help you control any night sweating problems. Or you could try changing your overall diet as well. It might not be just one food which is the problem, but your entire diet. On the other hand, you can also try relaxation methods just before you go to bed to help you relax. These can all have a beneficial effect on you and might be able to help you prevent excessive night sweating.

You can now learn to stop your sweat problem in its tracks using low-cost off-the-shelf remedies. This e-book written by Joseph Tierney promises loads of information on how to stop your excessive sweating problems.

Having a sweating face is no joking issue, and for the people who suffer from this problem, there is no readily available treatment to deal with their excessive facial sweating worries.

It is not entirely safe or even possible to use antiperspirants on your face, besides which they don’t always work. In fact, these methods are more of a hindrance than a help.

However, there are few ways for you to control your excessive facial sweating woes. To start with, here are five of them.

#01 – Stop Using Facial Creams

One thing that you can do to help you control your sweating is to stop using facial creams entirely, or use only very light creams sparingly. Heavy creams of the type normally used in the harsher winter months can have a sickly sweet effect on your skin and cause you to sweat even more – even in winter.

#02 – Ask Family Members for Help

You need to ask yourself whether your sweating face is a genetic trait. Is it something that has been passed down through the family line? If so, talk with a family member first to see what remedy or treatment they have resorted to that helps with their excessive facial sweating problems.

#03 – Carry a Handkerchief

Of course some people don’t take too much notice of these things and take it in their stride. These people are the ones who always tend to have a handkerchief in their hands and are always lightly dusting their face with it.

#04 – Use Talcum Powder

A good practical alternative to using antiperspirants is to use talcum powder. Apply a very light dusting and try to avoid your eyes, nose and mouth when applying it. It can help to keep your face dry and free from sweat, at least for a little while.

#05 – Use a Loose Compact Powder

If you prefer to use make up than talcum powder, then compromise. Use a loose compact powder instead of the creamier compact versions. The coverage might not last as long, but since you have a sweating face anyway, it becomes a moot point, doesn’t it?

A sweating face doesn’t need to be the end of the world as you know it. You can still have a thriving social life, you just need to find the simplest of treatment that can help you to control or even prevent your excessive facial sweating.

Many of us who suffer from excessive sweating issues contemplate the idea using a known brand of deodorants as they can be trusted and known to be effective. Yes, although there are many different brands that can be used, some of them are not as helpful as they claim.

These other deodorants will at times cause an allergic skin reaction. So when you are hunting for a deodorant that provides the sweat protection that you need while being protective to your skin, Dove deodorant seems to come to mind.

While looking at the various Dove deodorant products you will notice that this deodorant is divided into two categories. The first group would be deodorants and the second group is that of antiperspirant deodorants. You need to decide which of these two groups you wish to buy your deodorant from. And when you are looking into the different products you will have a choice of roll-on Dove deodorant or solid deodorant.

The choice of these is really a matter of preference but there are certain facts you might like to consider. You might need to get hold of some samples to better understand how these two Dove deodorant sticks will work for. With these samples you could then choose the better deodorant treatment for your excessive sweating.

In the roll-on deodorants the protective barrier comes out as a liquid. It then spreads on the underarms in a smooth gliding motion but it is wet at first. You will need to wait a while before you put any clothes on so as to prevent any stains from occurring.

The solid Dove deodorant on the other hand needs to be pushed to the top of the stick in a small quantity. You then wipe the surface of the deodorant over your underarm skin. As this solid deodorant, is dry yet smooth you will not feel any sort of wetness and this means that you will not have to wait before you start dressing.

In the range of Dove deodorants you can think about buying the classic solid formula either with a mild fragrance or a fragrance free formula. You will also be able to choose Dove deodorants which are clear invisible solids. You can also find a Dove deodorant which is known as Dove Ultimate Clear. However, these are only the main product range and you will still need to see what sort of Dove deodorant you can buy. The right kind of product can certainly aid as a treatment for excessive sweating concerns.
